Improve rather than move

The Bank of England reported that £15.4b had been shaved off mortgage debt from April to June in 2012 – the largest amount in any three-month period since records began in 1970.

This suggests that rather than releasing equity from their houses, homeowners are opting to put money in by paying off mortgages early, or adding value to a property, with a range of home improvements, such as new kitchens or home extensions.

As people are willing to invest in their homes it’s more important than ever for people to protect their properties, especially if they are creating their ‘dream home’.

The Keyless Digital Lock from Yale is a great DIY project. It’s not only modern and stylish but will secure you home and make day-to-day life much easier.
