What batteries does my lock use and how long will they last?

The product uses four 1.5v (LR6) alkaline AA batteries. The batteries will last for approximately 1 year, based on the lock being used 10 times a day.

What are the differences between modules?

The Yale Keyless Connected Smart Lock can have Z-Wave® and Yale modules added to allow easy integration to smart home systems.

  • Z-Wave® Module: Using the Z-Wave® module, the Keyless Connected lock can be compatible with Z-Wave® technology, allowing connection to approved third party smart home products such as Samsung SmartThings.
  • Yale Module: The Keyless Connected lock can be connected to the YaleEcoSystem and CCTV range, allowing you to open your door using the Yale Alarm or CCTV app. For more information and instructions on connecting to other Yale devices, please go to www.yale.co.uk/YaleEcoSystem
  • Remote Fob Module: The Keyless Connected Lock can be opened using a Remote Fob          

 

Are the modules interchangeable?

Yes, as long as you have the Keyless ‘connected’ model of the lock.  

Can any of the Yale Nightlatches work with the Keyless lock?

All 60mm Nightlatches will be compatible, 40mm are NOT compatible.

Can a Keyless Connected Smart Door Lock work with a 40mm Nightlatch?

No, the Keyless lock can only work alongside a 60mm Nightlatch. 

Can my Keyless ‘non-connected’ Smart Lock link to my alarm system?

No, you will need the Keyless ‘connected’ version to remotely access this.

How do I change the volume settings?

Touch the keypad with the palm of your hand, then enter the master code followed by the ‘#’

Select the ‘8’ button followed by the ‘#’

Press ‘1’ for silent mode, ‘2’ for quite mode or ‘3’ for loud mode

Press ‘#’ to complete.

 

How do I turn auto re-lock on/off?

Touch the keypad with the palm of your hand, then enter the master code followed by the ‘#’

Select the ‘9’ button followed by the ‘#’

Press ‘1’ for auto re-lock on, or ‘3’ for auto re-lock off

Press ‘#’ to complete.

How do I register a remote Key Fob?

Touch the keypad with the palm of your hand, then enter the master code followed by the ‘#’

Select the ‘3’ button followed by the ‘#’

Select the ‘1’ button followed by the ‘#’

Enter the slot number for the Fob followed by the ‘#’

Push both unlock buttons on the Remote Fob

Press ‘#’ to complete.

How do I delete a Key Card/Tag?

Touch the keypad with the palm of your hand, then enter the master code followed by the ‘#’

Select the ‘0’ button followed by the ‘#’

Press the ‘3’ button followed by the ‘#’

Present a valid Key card or Tag to the lock, turn the thumbturn to open the door.

Press any button on a registered Remote Fob, Turn the thumbturn to open the door.
