Your home probably has more windows than doors and they require just as much security consideration as your home's other access points. WOODEN /PVCu CASEMENT WINDOWS
These usually incorporate an outward opening hinged pane. They should have a window lock fitted on the frame opposite the hinges. If the window is more than 3ft in height or width, then ideally two window locks should be fitted to the top and bottom.
WOODEN SASH & SLIDING WINDOWS
Sash windows typically comprise of two frames that slide vertically over one another to open. Sliding windows work in the same way, but are configured horizontally. Both window types are commonly locked by a special bolt secured through both frames or a lock mounted onto the two frames.
